Sea of Cortez
Called by Jacques Cousteau “The Aquarium of the world” the Sea of Cortez offers a huge diversity in sea life, from playful sea lions, hammerhead sharks, to the biggest fish in the world, the whale shark. It also offers many experiences to the non-diver excursionist, mysterious islands with diversify fauna and flora, explore the islands by hiking or by kayak.
A live aboard trip, is a great incentive adventure, we organize your group to experience team work with learning and achieving experience, from diving certification to an astronomy trip of the skies.
Schedule from Los Cabos
We will start the journey in Cabo San Lucas, and head towards Todos Santos, a lovely colorful village just 45 minutes from Cabo. There we will stop for a delicious breakfast at the famous Todos Santos Café, the first café in town. After the breakfast we will drive towards La Paz. At the local of Sunrider Tours, in the heart of the city, just infront of the sea, La Paz guests will join us, and the Sun Rider crew will fit you with dive equipment, and we will embark one of our new 33-foot catamarans, on the way to explore the rich underwater world of the Sea of Cortez.

We’ll meet at the Marina Don Jose in La Paz at 11am, Los Cabos guests will join us, the Sun Rider crew will fit you with dive equipment, and we will embark one of our new 33-foot catamarans, on the way to explore the rich underwater world of the Sea of Cortez.
Our host of the day will be Espiritu Santo Island, a UNESCO protected natural reserve, with turquoise blue bays, red wind shaped rock formations, a colony of sea lions and birds, and of course, the abundant sea world. Because of its reach sea life, the most famous under sea explorer in the 20th century, Jacques Cousteau, named Sea of Cortez the world’s richest aquarium – and you will be able to confirm his claim yourself. Diving in the waters of the Sea of Cortez is truly amazing.
We have thoroughly explored the island and selected several favorite diving sites; on each trip we choose where to stop for a dive, depending on weather conditions, the currents and underwater visibility, in order to provide you the most unforgettable diving experience. On our trip we will make two dives at two different diving locations.
